The World is Your Oyster
It’s a fine balance between personal and professional projects.

This past week I’ve been working on a couple of really fun client projects while trying to balance my “day job” with personal projects, and I’m pleased to announce everything is going swimmingly — for the most part.
As some of you will have noticed there are some changes to this website in terms of functionality. At the bottom of this post (and every post for that matter), there is a link for you to REGISTER and SUBSCRIBE. After endless mucking about with WordPress and Plugins and Code I think I’ve got it mostly where I want it, heck, I even have a wee banner at the bottom you can use to share with your friends either by email or social media links. How fun is that? The cool part about registering on the site is that you can access subscriber-only content over the next few months, and by clicking that ‘Yes, add me to your mailing list’ check box you will receive the latest blog post directly to your inbox every day.
What will this subscriber-only content be you may well ask. I don’t know. Art. NFT’s. Videos. Tickets to stuff. Maps to buried treasure. Give-aways. Who knows. The world is my oyster and I ain’t going to shuck it — I’m going to call it Bruce and we’ll go on grand adventures together, and because you’re a subscriber you can come along.
Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” I love what I do, and even though I’ve been building stuff for 12 hours a day I have yet to work. I am, however, covered in pixels. In fact, I might be running out of pink pixels and will need to make a run to Memory Express or Staples for a refill. This is all to the good, as my goal this month is to finally finish the rough draft of my book on BrandJitsu™, finalize and launch the website (www.BrandJitsu.com), write weekly branding and creativity articles to post on Medium (I have two due next week), launch the monthly BrandJitsu newsletter, and then open the gates to pre-orders for books and actual orders of the worksheets.
It’s all part of a grand plan.
In order to accomplish this goal and spark my brain, I decided to embark on the 100 Days Project to shake off the cobwebs and focus on my own projects as much as I do my clients’ projects. Believe it or not, I’m working towards a work/life balance. I opted to start the process here because this website has always been a playground for me and a place to try out and test new ideas and technology.
Here it is DAY 7 (7%) and I’d like to report that all is good and harmonious, and Bruce and I are off to learn competitive Mahjong.
